Jugs with lids

Back to Jugs

This design has been evolving for a long time. It started when I saw a picture of the bird god Horus as a statue standing outside an Eqyptian temple. It has a rather cross looking furrowed brow which forms the line of the lid. The beak is similar but borrows strongly from the sparrow.

The jug holds about a pint and pours well with the lid on. There is a catch mechanism to stop the lid falling off in use.
